last updated: august 25, 2026

the short version

  • Kachi is an early product. it will make mistakes. the friendships are yours, not ours.
  • be 18 or older, use it with people you actually know, and never to hurt anyone.
  • texting Kachi means you accept these terms, our privacy policy, and the automated texting that comes with the service. reply STOP anytime.

the agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Layers Labs Inc, a United States company ("we", "us") about your use of Kachi (the "service"). You accept them by texting the agent, connecting through an invite, or otherwise using the service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

what the service is

Kachi is an AI agent that works across a circle of friends: you give it goals in Messages, it talks to the people involved, and it reports back. Because it is an AI system:

the sharing model

The service works by sharing relevant information between you and the friends in your circle, as described in the privacy policy. Using the service means you understand and agree to this. If that model is not for you, the service is not for you.

messaging

The service works over text messages, including automated ones. Message frequency varies with how you use it. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages, and HELP or "help" for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

rules

We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules.

your content

What you tell the agent stays yours. You give us the permission we need to store it, process it, share it within your circle as the service is designed to do, and use it to improve the service, all as described in the privacy policy.

an early product

Kachi is new and evolving. Features may change, pause, or end, and we may update these terms; if a change matters, the agent will tell you before it takes effect. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the service, including what people in your circle do with information the agent shares as designed. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past twelve months or 100 USD. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

ending things

You can stop any time: reply STOP, or ask the agent to delete your data. We can suspend or terminate the service or your access for breach of these terms or where required. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content permissions for data already shared, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.

governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you a non-waivable right to something else.
